KrediOne, in collaboration with the Indonesian Joint Funding Fintech Association (AFPI), organized the Pindar Mengajar: Smart Financial Management, Wise Digital Transactions program in Malang on June 24–25, 2026. The initiative reflects KrediOne’s commitment to advancing financial literacy while preparing the younger generation to navigate the evolving digital economy.
Amid the rapid pace of digital transformation, the ability to manage personal finances wisely and responsibly has become increasingly important for young people. This underscores the need for collaboration among regulators, academia, the media, and industry players to strengthen public understanding of sound financial management, the responsible use of digital financial services, and the competencies required to thrive in the digital economy.
These efforts align with the growing adoption of digital financial services across Indonesia, including East Java. As of May 2026, KrediOne had disbursed more than IDR 2 trillion in funding throughout the province, with total funding disbursement in Malang reaching IDR 128 billion.
The financial literacy session was held at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the Islamic University of Malang (UNISMA) and attended by hundreds of students and members of the academic community. The event featured Anjar Sumarjati, Head of Financial Technology Financing Supervision Division 2 at OJK; Frederik Alexander Rompies, Assistant Director of OJK Malang; Ronald T. Andi Kasim, Secretary General of AFPI; and Affifudin, S.E., M.S.A., Ak., Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at UNISMA.
During the talk show session, KrediOne was represented by Defrian Afdi, Director of IT & Operations. He emphasized that financial literacy has become an essential life skill for young people amid the rapid advancement of technology and the digital economy.
“Digital transformation has fundamentally changed how people access financial services. Financial literacy is no longer just about understanding the services available. It also involves making informed financial decisions, understanding potential risks, and using technology responsibly. Young people with strong financial literacy will be better equipped to navigate future challenges while taking advantage of the opportunities created by the digital economy,” said Defrian.
In addition to the educational session, KrediOne participated in the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Development of a Digital Finance-Based Curriculum at UNISMA, which brought together regulators, academics, and industry representatives. The forum discussed the competencies needed in the digital financial sector while promoting stronger collaboration between educational institutions and industry to prepare highly skilled talent aligned with future workforce demands.
The series of activities also included discussions with local media representatives in Malang. The session reaffirmed the important role of the media as a strategic partner in improving public understanding of legal online lending (Pindar) services while raising awareness of the risks and dangers associated with illegal online lending.
KrediOne believes that strengthening financial literacy and developing young digital talent are essential foundations for fostering a healthy, inclusive, and sustainable digital economy. Through continued collaboration with OJK, AFPI, educational institutions, the media, and other stakeholders, KrediOne remains committed to helping build a generation that is financially literate, adaptable to technological advancements, and well prepared to contribute to Indonesia’s digital economic growth.
